Please be advised: Men in two skiffs (one green and one white) fired upon a merchant vessel near position 13:23N - 042:46E in the Red Sea (approximately 60nm northwest of Bab-el-Mandeb) at 1030 UTC on 7 June 2010. Mariners are warned to avoid transiting these waters if possible. If necessary to transit these waters, mariners are encouraged to use extreme caution, use all counter-piracy measures, and employ all best management practices.
